Daizy, Zurich
Whether it’s a cozy dinner date for two, a dream wedding or a business event: Daizy does it all, apart from being ordinary. This spacious restaurant is an urban stage for indulgence, encounters and organically inspired moments. The offer even includes meeting rooms with catering.
First-rate organic cuisine with industrial chic
Zurich’s "Binz" district, where industry once dictated the pace, now pulses with urban life. This up-and-coming neighborhood is characterized by its modern office developments, art studios, unconventional restaurants – and a surprising amount of greenery. And at the heart of it all: Daizy, with its organic cuisine – a gastronomic destination that delights with its industrial chic, floor-to-ceiling windows, floral decorations and multitude of light bulbs and installations. And the menu? Even more impressive. All the food is homemade, seasonal and freshly prepared using regional organic products whenever possible. And whether it’s vegan, vegetarian, with meat or fish: Here, everything is served just as it’s prepared – attentively and with a great deal of love.
Its generous size and an experienced events team also make Daizy a sought-after venue for weddings, birthday parties and corporate events. It is able to accommodate up to 600 guests. And on the 1st and 6th floors above the restaurant, Daizy has another unique feature up its sleeve: Meeting rooms of various sizes are available for rent. They are available to book by the hour or half-day – including catering from Daizy rooms themselves, or with lunch, tea, aperitifs, or dinner in the restaurant.
What do the guests order, what does the chef love?
The head chef currently prefers the artichoke hummus as a starter, which he describes as a "must try". For the main course, he would go for the beetroot gnocchi with spinach and seasonal vegetables. And the diners? At present, they’re particularly fond of organic oyster mushrooms with sweet potatoes and a fine herb confit. And as a starter? "You don’t necessarily have to go for a starter," the chef emphasizes. "A lot of the diners like to start with one of our organic aperitifs – such as the pomegranate spritz with elderflower, mint and Prosecco." It’s an ideal combination for getting a relaxed evening underway.
