Farmhouse, schoolhouse, guild house

Over 400 years ago, the municipality of Wiedikon bought the former farmhouse to use it as a school and court house. At that time, food and drink were only served on special occasions. This changed when the first landlord moved in and hung up a golden falcon (Falken) in 1842. This was soon followed by the Wiedikon Guild, which still enjoys hospitality at the “Falken” today. And today, countless generations later, you can feast in the traditional inn on a variety of good home cooking, original creations, and vegetarian.

Indulgence every day

In the shade of the trees or in the beautiful restaurant you can enjoy Swiss salmon tartare, grilled nectarine with peppered goat cream cheese, crispy chicken burgers, planted BBQ, “Ghackets mit Hörnli” (macaroni with minced meat) – and of course an absolute must: original “Zürcher Geschnetzeltes”. At lunchtime there are also two additional menus to choose from and on weekends there is an extensive brunch. The “Falken” is also there for you for that special occasion: Book the cozy “Stübli” (parlor) or the guild hall for up to 120 people.
