A village diner in a new style
The Rössli in Stalden is back and under new leadership – with a new set of ideas and the aspiration to be more than a traditional village diner. Maria and Miro Molitoris have been running the restaurant since May 2026, and want to turn a venue with a long tradition back into what it once was: a place of genuine hospitality, honest cuisine and a meeting place for the entire surrounding region.
The Rössli in Stalden is back and under new leadership – with a new set of ideas and the aspiration to be more than a traditional village diner. Maria and Miro Molitoris have been running the restaurant, with its long tradition, since May 2026, and are building on what the Rössli has always stood for: genuine hospitality, honest cuisine and a meeting place for the entire surrounding region.
Classics perfected at the table
In terms of its cuisine, the Rössli focuses on contemporary Swiss gastronomy with a fresh, distinct style: seasonal, with rigor, and consistently prepared with the highest quality ingredients. The menu that the owners have kept concise combines classic dishes with alternating specialties while also allowing room for spontaneous requests – including a personally curated five-course meal.
A key element of the new concept behind the Rössli is the preparation of selected dishes at the table according to the season and occasion. These include house specialties such as trout with a salt crust, chateaubriand, schnitzel à discrétion, and sorbet à la minute. This reflects the owners’ philosophy: honest cuisine, personal hospitality, and memorable moments of enjoyment – for regular customers and curious newcomers alike.
