To ensure the best possible security for online purchases, the Swisscard app supports the 3-D Secure service, an internationally recognized security standard for online payments with American Express, Mastercard and Visa. This procedure protects both shoppers and merchants from card misuse by means of an additional identity check.
How 3-D Secure works:
- When paying in an online store that supports 3-D Secure, an additional security check is carried out.
- You will receive a code for identification directly in the Swisscard app.
- The payment is only released after the code has been entered.
