How to pay with American Express
With American Express credit cards, you can make secure and easy cashless payments worldwide – whether at a store, a restaurant, a hotel or when online shopping. This applies to all credit cards offered: from the Platinum Card with many exclusive benefits to the Gold Card and American Express Card through to the BLUE credit card with a low annual fee.
To pay, simply insert your credit card into the card reader. Or you can pay contactless and simply hold your card against the card terminal. You only need to enter your PIN code or signature for amounts of CHF 80 or more.
You can also use your American Express credit card to make mobile payments with your smartphone. To do so, simply hold your smartphone with the relevant application against the card reader. You need to store your credit card on your phone first, though. You can use:

Of course, American Express isn’t only available as a payment method in Switzerland. You can pay with American Express at millions of locations worldwide, both locally and online. Please note, however, that fees may apply to foreign transactions and payments in foreign currencies.
