¹ The welcome bonus of Membership Rewards (MR) points and the reduced annual fee for the first year is available to any applicant who has not been the (principal card)holder of an American Express® Platinum or Gold card issued by Swisscard AECS GmbH (“Swisscard”) within the last 18 months. The crediting of MR points is conditional upon card issue following an examination of the card application, and will generally occur within eight weeks of card issue. If the applicant terminates the card contract within 13 months of card issue, the MR points will be canceled without replacement or recalled and the applicant will become retrospectively liable for the regular annual fee for the first year instead of the reduced annual fee (CHF 350). Swisscard will either charge the difference to the card account or invoice it separately.

The subscription fees for blue Sport are not applicable for the first 6 months, after which CHF 34.90/month (subject to price changes) will be charged by blue Entertainment AG. ³  The principal cardholder of an American Express® Gold Card issued by Swisscard AECS GmbH will receive a credit of CHF 25 to their card account once per quarter, provided they or the additional cardholder have paid for a meal of at least CHF 80 at a Swiss restaurant or delivery service participating in the promotion and paid with the American Express® Gold Card. Swisscard generally credits the card account of the principal cardholder within one week.

⁴ Access to Priority Pass lounges requires a valid Priority Pass membership card. The fees and General Terms and Conditions of Priority Pass Ltd. and the participating lounges apply. Swisscard AECS GmbH does not assume any warranty for offers and benefits of Priority Pass Ltd. and disclaims all liability. The principal cardholder receives complimentary access to the Priority Pass lounges twice per year; each additional admission costs USD 35.

⁵ Except for fees, interest, chargebacks, cash withdrawals, payments for money transfers and currency exchanges (incl. into monetary surrogates, such as cryptocurrencies, traveler’s checks and topping up cashless means of payment, etc.) or transfers to securities brokers, payments for services in connection with the card (e.g. optional insurance plans) as well as for gambling or any activities similar to gambling or games of chance.

⁷ The discount is only valid when you pay with your American Express® Gold Card. It is cannot be transferred or accumulated and does not apply retroactively or to extras (e.g. child seats, navigation, additional drivers, deductible exclusions, young driver fees, etc.) and taxes. It cannot be paid out in cash. The person renting the car must be at least 21 years old. Some booking periods may not be eligible for the discount. The benefits are provided by Rentalcars.com and their General Terms and Conditions apply. Swisscard AECS GmbH assumes no liability for these benefits, which are generally available on a limited basis.

⁹ Up to CHF 3,000 per year will be compensated for repairs or replacement of purchased equipment. The purchased device must have a value of at least CHF 100 and must not be older than four years in case of damage.

¹¹ The Alpian bonus is a bank credit of CHF 50 offered by Alpian. You will receive CHF 50 credited directly to your Alpian bank account at the end of the first quarter after the issue of your Gold Card card as long as you maintain your banking relationship with Alpian. After your card is issued, details on how to obtain the bonus will be provided by Swisscard AECS GmbH within eight weeks.
