¹ The welcome bonus of Membership Rewards (MR) points and the reduced annual fee for the first year is available to any applicant who has not been the (principal card)holder of an American Express® Platinum or Gold card issued by Swisscard AECS GmbH (“Swisscard”) within the last 18 months. The crediting of MR points is conditional upon card issue following an examination of the card application, and will generally occur within eight weeks of card issue. If the applicant terminates the card contract within 13 months of card issue, the MR points will be canceled without replacement or recalled and the applicant will become retrospectively liable for the regular annual fee for the first year instead of the reduced annual fee (CHF 350). Swisscard will either charge the difference to the card account or invoice it separately.

² The principal cardholder of an American Express® Gold Card issued by Swisscard AECS GmbH receives a credit of CHF 50 each year for a purchase made by the main or additional cardholder with the American Express Gold Card at Globus in the amount of at least CHF 200 (incl. VAT). Swisscard generally credits the card account of the principal cardholder within one week.

³ New clients who apply in the period from September 12, 2023 to June 30, 2024 for an American Express® Gold Card issued by Swisscard AECS GmbH (where the digital timestamp is considered decisive in terms of receipt), will be given a one-time credit for CHF 100 for a flight, paid for by the principal or additional cardholder using the American Express® Gold Card, where the value of the flight must be at least CHF 500 (including fees and taxes). Issue of the credit presupposes issuing the card after proper assessment of the card application. The flight must be booked and paid for in full using exclusively the American Express® Gold Card through the official website or app for the airline in question after issuing the card, but at the latest by September 30, 2024. Bookings through booking aggregators, travel portals, travel agencies or similar travel service providers are excluded. Swisscard generally credits the card account of the principal cardholder within one week. If a cancellation or other circumstances result in the price of the flight being reimbursed in whole or in part to the cardholder, the credit becomes invalid and Swisscard reserves the right to charge this to the card account.

⁴ The principal cardholder of an American Express® Gold Card issued by Swisscard AECS GmbH will receive a credit of CHF 25 to their card account once per quarter, provided they or the additional cardholder have paid for a meal of at least CHF 80 at a Swiss restaurant or delivery service participating in the promotion and paid with the American Express® Gold Card. Swisscard generally credits the card account of the principal cardholder within one week.

⁵ This promotion is only valid for new clients who apply for the new Gold Card between September 12, 2023 and May 31, 2024 (date of receipt is decisive, based on a digital time stamp). No cash payment is possible. The free annual membership can only be claimed upon the card being issued after the card application has been checked. The voucher can be redeemed on a one-time basis until February 28, 2025 at the latest. ⁷ Except for fees, interest, chargebacks, cash withdrawals, payments for money transfers and currency exchanges (incl. into monetary surrogates, such as cryptocurrencies, traveler’s checks and topping up cashless means of payment, etc.) or transfers to securities brokers, payments for services in connection with the card (e.g. optional insurance plans) as well as for gambling or any activities similar to gambling or games of chance.

⁹ The discount is only valid when you pay with your American Express® Gold Card. It is cannot be transferred or accumulated and does not apply retroactively or to extras (e.g. child seats, navigation, additional drivers, deductible exclusions, young driver fees, etc.) and taxes. It cannot be paid out in cash. The person renting the car must be at least 21 years old. Some booking periods may not be eligible for the discount. The benefits are provided by Rentalcars.com and their General Terms and Conditions apply. Swisscard AECS GmbH assumes no liability for these benefits, which are generally available on a limited basis.

¹¹ Up to CHF 3,000 per year will be compensated for repairs or replacement of purchased equipment. The purchased device must have a value of at least CHF 100 and must not be older than four years in case of damage.
