Welcome to the Terranea Resort

On the south-east edge of Los Angeles, west of Long Beach, away from the bustle of the city, is a peninsula that offers the best conditions for a relaxing holiday: the Terranea Resort. Its only immediate neighbors are the Point Vicente Lighthouse, Pelican Cove on the coast, and numerous parks. The 102-acre estate includes a number of buildings such as small villas, bungalows and a main hotel with suites and guestrooms. Thanks to the 270° views of the Pacific Ocean, you can see the sea from almost any point in the resort.

The right accommodation for everyone

The Terranea Resort offers a wide range of accommodation options in different sizes and designs. The guestrooms and suites range from 40 m² in size to the Presidential Suite of over 200 m². They are furnished with many amenities such as flat-screen TVs, high-speed Internet connection and feel-good beds. The Casitas are ideal for holidaying families, and have their own kitchen, living room and a laundry room. The Villas have a comfortable living room with a fireplace and their own parking outside. The Bungalows on the coast offer fabulous views, and are close to the restaurant and spa.

Endless options for relaxation and fun

Stroll through the pretty gardens on the site or enjoy a round of golf on the hotel’s 9-hole, par 3 golf course directly beside the sea. Spend some wonderful hours here in the midst of the delightful nature, and end each day with a camp-fire. The ocean invites you to kayak or dive, and you can also go on a whale-watching tour. On land, there is horse riding and the hotel’s own falconry program to enjoy. Keep your body moving in the generous fitness studio, which also offers a wide range of courses, and treat yourself to some me-time in one of the 25 treatment rooms in the spa.

You are also welcome to use the free shuttle service to Abalone Cove and the nearby shopping centers. And you can visit Hollywood, the Universal Film Studios and Disneyland.

Let California melt in your mouth

"mar’sel" is a wordplay based on the Spanish word for the sea and the French word for salt. Chef de Cuisine Andrew Vaughan offers local cuisine here. Based on the motto of "seasonal and regional", every season, he produces innovative Californian dishes and sea specialties. One particular treat is the Ocean View Brunch, which has probably the best views for the perfect start to the day.

However, the other options are no less appealing: Catalina Kitchen offers innovative American cuisine as well as a wide range of local beers. Bashi appeals with the perfect mix of local and Asian cuisine. Nelson’s is a fine-dining restaurant with views of the lighthouse. And Sea Beans and the Spa Café sweeten your day with lots of delicious treats.
