The historic regatta in Amalfi

Exploring Ano Mera

From the top, there are fabulous views over the entire historic city of Athens, including the Acropolis, the ancient stadium and the harbor of Piraeus. Visitors can get to the top (277 meters) either on foot (it’s a lovely walk) or by funicular.

The Verdon Gorge

The Verdon Gorge – more colloquially known as the Grand Canyon du Verdon – starts downriver past the town of Castellane and ends near Moustiers-Sainte-Marie at the Lac de Sainte-Croix reservoir. The canyon is over 20 km long and between 250 and 700 meters deep. At the bottom, the turquoise-colored river winds its way through the landscape, constantly offering impressive views of the fairy-tale landscape.
